For the children it is advantageous if they can visually understand the principle of the 1x1. The balls help to understand that.

With the numbers you choose the amount of balls. Here 3 balls 5 times. With the eraser you delete, or push the balls  back. With the thumb you can look at the result. The ear is a button to turn the sound on or off.
